Background

Dr. Lindsay Ruba first discovered her passion for understanding the human body while studying Movement Science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During this time, she developed a deep interest in the biomechanics of movement and in helping athletes optimize performance and recovery.

She went on to earn her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences just outside of Chicago, where she also completed a certification program in acupuncture and dry needling through National’s acupuncture program.

Throughout her doctoral studies, Dr. Ruba became increasingly fascinated by the profound impact that nutrition and lifestyle have on health and healing. This led her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon.

Before launching Nourish Health in 2025, Dr. Ruba practiced for nearly six years at Arne Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and five years prior at Davis Square Chiropractic in Somerville, Massachusetts. These experiences shaped her belief that true healing requires addressing the root causes of illness—through movement, nutrition, and personalized care.

My Story

Dr. Ruba made the heartfelt decision to leave her busy clinic in Colorado to be closer to family and reconnect with the source of her food and community. She has developed a passion for sourcing local, organic ingredients and dreams of building her own homestead—complete with chickens, goats, a thriving garden, and fruit trees.

Over time, she realized that her work had become more about managing schedules and recommending treatments rather than truly helping people heal. Driven by her purpose to see patients genuinely get better, Dr. Ruba chose to return to what matters most—family, simplicity, and authentic healing. She and her husband, Eric, also hope to start a family and spend as much time as possible with their future children.

Dr. Ruba’s calling is to help people improve their health in every way, especially those living with chronic conditions who have struggled to find lasting relief. She takes time to truly listen, taking a detailed health history and leaving no stone unturned. Her approach combines modern diagnostics—such as blood work, urine and stool testing, salivary analysis, and imaging—with a functional medicine framework that identifies the root causes of illness.

This comprehensive evaluation allows her to design personalized treatment plans that support detoxification, balance, and long-term wellness. For in-person care, Dr. Ruba offers a wide range of hands-on techniques to address both acute and chronic pain, including:

  • Diversified chiropractic adjustments

  • Myofascial release

  • McKenzie Method for disc herniations

  • Electrical stimulation

  • Spinal traction

  • Webster technique for prenatal care

  • Acupuncture

  • Dry needling

She also encourages physical activity and corrective exercises as integral parts of recovery and prevention. She is currently seeking a certification in Quantum Biology because she has found the integration of sunlight, circadian rhythm, and minimizing non-native EMF exposure to be absolutely crucial building blocks to anyone looking to improve their health. Dr. Ruba’s ultimate goal is to empower her patients to live vibrant, balanced, and healthy lives—rooted in knowledge, movement, and natural healing.
